Live from New York City, it’s The Wendy Williams Show. (upbeat music)
(cheering) ♪ Oh yeah ♪ ♪ Feel it feel it feel it ♪ ♪ Feel it Feel it ♪ ♪ Feel it feel it feel it ♪ ♪ When you need it ♪ ♪ How you doin’ ♪ How how doin’? Now here’s Wendy. (cheering and applause) Pow pow. (audience whooping) ♪ How you doin’ ♪ Thank you for watching our show. Say hello to my co-hosts, my studio audience. (cheering) Yes. How you doing’? How you doin’? I’m doing okay, let’s get started. It’s time for Hot Topics. (cheering and applause)
(upbeat music) (laughing) Thank you, thank you for watching. So Angelina Jolie, everybody, is trying to heal the rift between her ex, the divorce is not finalized. No. Yeah, between her soon to be ex-husband, and this has been going on, by the way, for years I have no idea why these people aren’t fully divorced, but, you know, whatever. Between Brad and their oldest son, Maddox. Well this is a real situation, honey. Do you remember back in 2016 when Brad and Maddox got into a fight on a private jet? Yes. We talked about it on Hot Topics, and it led to what Angelina’s side is saying, her filing divorce. (audience exclaims) Well, one fight with father and son doesn’t necessarily lead to divorce. There had to have been like, the ground swelling already. Because Maddox is now 18 years old, and you know, fathers and sons do fight, they fight, whether it’s physically, or whether it’s with words, you know, things happen, and I don’t like it, but things happen. So there was probably was a ground swell, but this fight on the private jet, she’d had it. Well now, do you know that Brad and Maddox have not spoken since? In other words, he and his son have not spoken in years. (audience groans) Yes, yes. Well, Maddox is now away at college, he goes to college in South Korea, where, by the way, he’s living in a dormitory. (audience exclaims) Which, by the way, I have no problem with. You know, all of his life, we’ve never seen any of those Jolie-Pitt kids play with anybody else, they’ve got all 25 of them to play with. (audience laughs) And, you know, being that the parents are super wealthy, of course he could live in an apartment with a housekeeper and a driver and all that stuff, but you wanna know what, and we don’t know this life, but just imagine if you were Maddox, it’d be nice to live I a dormitory and make new friends. And, you know, he’s in South Korea at school, and not to be a Jolie-Pitt, but just to be Maddox, goes it alone. (applause) Mmhm. Let’s show a full shot of the most recent, do we have a shot of the most recent Maddox? Yeah, with Angelina. Yes, well that’s an 18 year old. Must be a hard life being a Jolie-Pitt. (audience laughing) Anyway, according to US Weekly magazine… (audience laughing) Brad has reportedly talked to Angelina about visiting Brad, Maddox. Now, I don’t know what happened on the plane, but you have to figure, you know how sons stick up for their moms, how dad might be fowl, and Brad admitted that, you know, there was drinking involved, as my recollection, right, we did this on Hot Topics. Uh-huh. He was drinking on the plane, so he probably got real loud, I don’t know whether he called him an ethnic name. (audience groans) Yes, I’m going there. Or whether he called his mom the B word, but not in a fun kind of way, but in a kind of way. (audience exclaims) I don’t know what happened on this plane, but you know it’s a lot for a son, particularly because, I mean, all kids have it hard, just being a kid, but it’s gotta be even harder when you’re a kid and you’re adopted form another country. It’s gotta be even harder. (applause) Now, Angelina adopted Maddox when she was a single woman, so when Brad met Angelina after she cheated on him with Jennifer Aniston, she already had Maddox. And I don’t know for a fact, but I’m assuming, that maybe when Brad and Angelina finally got married, that Brad adopted Maddox. So that would make him the father, not a biological father, again, I don’t know the adoption thing, but for those of you all who are adopted, I know a lot of adopted people, and they do have a tick of, damn, why wasn’t I good enough, where are my real parents, I mean, I love the people who adopted me, but, you know, what is it? So anyway, Angelina reached out to their son to help him reconnect with, well, no, here’s the thing, she didn’t reach out to him, she always talks to him, but I think that this is the perfect time of year to have a really well thought out family Thanksgiving dinner. You know what I mean? And mom and dad should put their differences aside because they have a bunch of other adopted kids, too. So, you know, in other words, dad, if you can do this to Maddox, you know, then you can do this to me. You haven’t talked to me for two… Now, we don’t know whether Brad’s tried to reach out to this boy, I must say that. He might be blocked on Maddox’s phone, alright. But Brad can fly to Korea and squat outside the dorm. I mean, there are things that parents could do, particularly if you have endless amounts of money. If you really want to reconnect with this boy, then leave Angelina out of it, and you go over there, and, basically, you stalk him in the name of love over to South Korea. (applause) You know? So here’s the other thing. I’ve never heard Maddox speak. I don’t know how he talks, you know what I mean? And so a reporter, yes, they have paparazzi in Korea, too, a reporter caught up with Maddox in Korea. (audience exclaims) Look, look, look, look, remember, he’s 18. He’s all by himself, and he actually stopped and talked. You have to listen very closely. Co-hosts, please no oohs and ahs and claps, and ooh, you know how you all do. (audience laughs) Just listen very closely, ’cause this might be the last time we hear him speak, ’cause he doesn’t speak, you know what I mean? Very interesting, take a look. Have you spoken with your siblings? Like do you speak with your brothers and sisters? Are they happy that you’re here? Yeah, I think so, I think so, yeah. How about your dad, is he gonna come visit you, do you want him to come visit? I don’t know about that, know what’s happening. No? You don’t know what’s gonna happen with that? Is your relationship with him sort of over, or? Well, whatever happens, happens. Sad, right? Sad on one hand, on the other hand, 18, they consider that an adult these days. It doesn’t seem like he cares one way or the other whether Brad gets back with him, but he also didn’t say that Brad is shut out. So, Brad, this is your chance to take off from being hot and a big timer and get over to South Korea and fix this. That’s all I’m saying. (applause) So Salt-N-Pepa got the last laugh on Russel Simmons. (audience exclaims) Well, here’s what happened. First of all, I was telling you already that there’s gonna be an E! True Hollywood Story with Yo-Yo and Da Brat. Like I was telling, I didn’t even know that they’re still doing these, But they sat down for an E! True Hollywood Story about females rappers, it’s the same one that Yo-Yo and Da Brat are in, this is gonna be so good, I can’t wait to see this one. Anyway, it happens on Sunday, but look, they said that Russel got at them and that him rejecting them fueled them to wanna be successful regardless. Take a look. Someone happened to ask him about the Salt-N-Pepa girls, what do you think? And Russel gave us a thumbs down. And I remember feeling like I can either listen to the father of hip-hop and fold, or I can use that as fuel. (hip-hop music) We were never intimidated. When they said we couldn’t, we did. And then years later, Russel tried to sign us to Def Jam, and we was like, no, we good. (audience laughing)
(applause) And the rest is history. It just goes to show you, just because somebody tells you no, even if it’s no from the highest up, and yeah, you know, at that particular time, Russel was the everything to hip-hop, I mean, he’ll go down as an icon and whatnot to hip-hop now, but I’m saying, back then, can you imagine how much it would’ve hurt? You know, these two girls who used to work together at Sears from Queens, you know, and all they wanna do is get together and have a group, and then, Russel, Russel, says, no. But do you know how much it probably really fueled their thirst for success to tell him, no, thank you. I like that. (applause) That’s all, yeah. I don’t know whether it’s an old time thing, but sometimes you have one time to reject somebody before they become great, and then you wanna come back and do, no, I was here all along. You know what I mean? But, yeah. (applause) Alright, so I’m late to the party for the Bachelor, you know I don’t watch that show, but I did watch for the Rachel Lindsay one, and I really enjoyed it, and then I really liked the Hannah one. So now, I’m in. Except, not so much anymore. Well, I’m gonna tell you why. So the next season of The Bachelor is filming right now. And we all know that these reality shows have a certain part of them that are staged and fake, I think we know that as thinking people, everything is not real that you’re seeing. But we caught them in the act. Take a look, wait, hold on now. The girl and the guy, right, they’re walking out to get on a bus when, (imitates brakes screeching) they say, stop, good. Okay then, there’s the producer, right here in the black coat, talking to the guy, the girl is way back there. This is the bachelorette way back there. And then the producer’s obviously saying to him, you guys, look more romantical and walk back out again, three, two, one, go. See? And there’s the bachelor and bachelorette walking back out. And cut! (audience laughing) (applause) I mean, even though we know that everything that we see is not real, and even though I’m on a TV insider, even I watching as a new person watching the show, I am so disappointed, that there’s gotta be something else on Monday besides this. (audience laughing) Like, here’s the thing, you know that they do redos, but there’s certain things, that as a fan of something, you don’t wanna actually see. I don’t wanna see a redo. It didn’t look like they screwed up the first time they walked out to the bus, and why are you doing this in public, you know this footage wasn’t shot by like a TMZ or something, it was shot by a fan standing on the outside shooting it, and then they sent it to a blog, that cracks on reality shows, and the blog sent it out to the world, and that’s how we got it. Look at the producer telling them, oh, no, you have to do it again, look at the girl in the back, look at the bachelorette, bachelorette’s just walking. You know what I mean? I mean, the proposals are fake, the people are fake, the storylines are fake, the love is fake, it’s all fake, but I don’t wanna see it. Like, you know, don’t do it in public around a bunch of people, ’cause now we know, and I am very disappointed. But I would imagine that like, they would repose shots in private areas, like behind The Bachelor compound gates, if the bachelor and bachelorette are laying by the pool, and they say, alright, cut, you guys don’t look romantic enough, put your leg over his leg more, you know, spread them more, kiss him. Wait, cut, let’s redo this kiss, but that would be private behind the compound, you know what I mean? I don’t know, we all know it’s fake, but clap if you’re disappointed to see this. (applause) Ugh. So Hillary Clinton is standing up for Meghan Markle. (audience exclaims) Well, Hillary says that the way British press is treating Meghan is inexplicable. Excuse me, inexplicable. She feels that Meghan is targeted because she’s black. Well, people call it biracial, but you know, one dip of black, it’s black. Forget the biracial, okay, she’s black. (applause) And I feel like Meghan would’ve been targeted whether she was black, white, or not. I think the first thing is, she’s black, but a close second runner is she’s an American who happens to be an actress, who happens to have been from Crenshaw, you know what I mean? Like, the black thing is definitely a part of it in my mind, but the other part of it is American, an actress, you know, already had her own thing going on, and also, no matter who you are, to marry Harry, everybody would be jealous, and they’re jealous, I think, of Meghan, and that’s why I think that the press haunts her like that. You know, they’re curious about her, they wish than an English girl would have married him, black or white, they wish the girl was English, and also, she’s making new rules, new rules. She dresses how she wants, she goes out when she wants, she hangs out with Serena when she wants, she doesn’t ask the Queen’s permission to sneeze, ’cause she doesn’t feel like she wants to. You know, I like this royal couple. (applause) I’m more interested in them, quite frankly, than I am in William and Kate, I’m not as interested in William and Kate as am in Harry and Meghan. But anyway, Hillary, Hillary’s all in, too. Alright, everybody, it’s now time for the Hot 5, hit it. (cheering)
(upbeat music) Here to count down the hottest things in pop culture is our friend from People Now, Jeremy Parsons. Hey, Wendy, so good to see you. Hi, Jeremy. Happy season 11. (applause) I enjoy your stick pin. Thank you so much, oh, you like that, it’s just a little something. Yes.
I thought it worked. You wanna start with number five? Yes, number five. Alright, number five is a docuseries, Hip-Hop: The Songs That Shook America. I’m in. Alright, yeah. So this is a big deal, this is a six episode docuseries. It’s about hip-op songs that kind of broke through barriers and changed hip-hop forever. Questlove and Black Thought from The Roots are producing this. Questlove had this great quote, he said that these were songs that propelled hip-hop into the mainstream, right. They played a key role in that. Each episode focuses on one song. So the first episode already aired, Jesus Walks by Kanye. Where was I, wait, what? Happened, happened. But you can check it out, still, on AMC. Okay, okay.
we’ll get to that, where you can watch it. On AMC.
But Jesus Walks, from Kanye, and brought about religion, and brought rap together, created a conversation around that. Sunday’s episode is about Alright by Kendrick Lamar, obviously became the anthem in the Black Lives Matter Movement. Lot of people rallied around that song, so we’re gonna hear from these artists. Some other songs are Rock Box, Elevators, The Bridge, Ladies First by Queen Latifah. Queen Latifah talking about playing such an incredible role in a male dominated industry. We’re getting these one on one interviews with these artists throughout this series, so it’s gonna be really great. Artists and hip-hop aficionados. Absolutely, and ground breakers and pioneers. Love it.
And all of it. The first episode premiered Sunday, you can catch that on demand, second one airs this Sunday at midnight on AMC. A little late. Oh, that’s why.
You can DVR it. Oh, that’s why.
Set the DVR. (applause) I don’t have one. You gotta get one, you gotta get the DVR. Alright, we ready? (laughs) No DVR for you. You ready for number four? Yes, please. Number four is Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. (applause) Open today. This one might take Joker off the top of the box office. Angeline Jolie reprising that role, obviously, as the evil Maleficent, look at her. She’s Sleeping Beauty’s adopted– Michelle Pfeiffer, too! Michelle Pfeiffer,
Wow. Oscar nominee, she’s joining the cast as Angelina’s rival, plays this very icy queen. In the movie, Sleeping Beauty is set to marry Michelle Pfeiffer’s son, Prince Phillip, guess who doesn’t like it, Angelina, the two battle it out. It’s just incredible to see these two powerhouse women– Fight, fight, fight, fight, fight! But these battles break out. Look at this, it’s epic in scope, the visuals in this are really incredible. Look, I love seeing these two women lead an action packed movie like this. Is there a financial projection? There is a financial projection, thank you for asking. 175 million is projected for the opening weekend. Oh. The last movie did 758 million worldwide, this is gonna be huge. So you can check it out, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil is out now. (applause) What’s number three, this is the Hot 5. Yeah, number three on the Hot 5, Elle’s Women in Hollywood issue. So every year, Elle celebrates women in Hollywood who broke barriers, and in some way, impacted the world or their industry. 10 different covers with 10 different women, including Nicole Kidman, Zendaya, Dolly Parton– That’s a lot of covers.
Lot of covers. Lena Waithe, and the women behind the upcoming movie, Queen and Slim, Gwyneth Paltrow, Mindy Kaling, Scarlett Johansson, Natalie Portman. Look at those, they’re beautiful covers, and really incredible in-depth stories.
Are interviews with each women. Interviews with each one, they’re very raw and very real throughout it. Zendaya, who is having the most amazing year ever with Euphoria.
Sure is. Oh, my goodness, she’s everywhere, look at her. Euphoria became such a hit. But she gets very real about the anxiety. What is Euphoria? Euphoria is the show, her series. Okay. Yeah, you gotta check it out. By the way, not for the kids, it’s super dark and very grown up. Oh, my father watches that. Oh, does he? Yeah, yeah, hi, daddy.
Is that real? Yes, yes, yes, yeah, yeah.
Okay, yeah. So he knows what we’re talking about here. But she actually opened up about having a lot of anxiety when it came to just life in general. She’s an introvert. But then, in filming Euphoria, she would be really anxious on set, but then the way it’s been received by your dad and the critics and the audience, has helped her build the confidence. Good for her.
So she opens up about that. We also have Dolly Parton opening up about early on in her career, people told her she needed to change her look. And she sure did! She changed it, alright. Well, you know what, she ended up really owning it and being who she was, and kind of got the last laugh. She did say that if she hadn’t been born a girl that she would’ve ended up being a drag queen. That was her quote. Which was kinda funny. (applause) Nicole Kidman, Nicole Kidman opens up about her mother inspiring her. That when she got married to Keith Urban, her mom was like, look, don’t give up everything for your marriage, and then she ended up launching a production company and kind of started producing
Good for her. you know, after her mom encouraged her. Mindy Kaling opens up in this as well about some of the things she faced. She says that she’s always felt like an outsider in Hollywood, and it’s helped keep her humble. She tells this story of walking onto the set of the Mindy Project, a security guard stopping her and asking where she was going, didn’t recognize her, she ends up pointing to a billboard right there with her face on it, and then she’s like, okay. So she’s always felt like an outsider, but it’s ended up giving her good perspective. Good for her. Yeah, so all those stories and more, Elle’s Women in Hollywood November issue, news stands on Tuesday.
Okay, we’re on number two, Hot 5. Number two, well, this one’s a hot one. Ronan Farrow’s new book, Catch and Kill. (applause) Everyone’s talking about this. If you don’t know, Journalist Ronan Farrow is the guy who’s reporting brought Harvey Weinstein down. 13 women accused Weinstein of sexual misconduct. He took down the most powerful man in Hollywood. A lot of wild things happened behind the scenes. Tell about the Weinstein thing and him. I’m telling you, he’s brave. So he accuses, or his accusations are that Weinstein actually hired an international spy company To do what?
to spy on him. He alleges that his phone was tapped, that he was intimidated, and that his his witnesses, sources were intimidated. And he had to move. Death threats, he had to move, he started going to gun ranges and things. And he’s still going hard. He’s still going hard, he is. It kind of goes into all that. It also breaks down the whole way he took on NBC news throughout all of this, right.
Oh, my gosh. Ronan worked for NBC. He alleges that they tried to kill the Harvey Weinstein story that he was working on, and then he alleges that it was because Weinstein had threatened to expose Matt Lauer, which we now know everything that sort of came out in those allegations. NBC, according to him, didn’t wanna risk everything, NBC, by the way, has denied all of this, that’s not their story at all. He also, in this book, talks about the interview with the woman who accused Matt Lauer of rape, Brooke Nevils, it was her account of rape that ended up leading to Matt Lauer being fired from The Today Show. Matt Lauer has released statements refuting all of this. Anyway, it’s an explosive bombshell of a book. You can check it out, Catch and Kill is available right now. Right now. (applause) Okay, and the number one thing on our Hot 5 list, Jeremy. Number one on our Hot 5, Tina – The Tina Turner Musical. (cheering and applause) There we go. People are excited for this one. Tina Turner, one of the world’s most accomplished artists, 12 Grammys. Look, her life was already a hit movie, What’s Love Got to Do with It, Angela Bassett, we remember that. Yeah, uh-huh.
Now it’s going to Broadway, we’re all very excited. (applause) Yeah, that’s right, it deserves some applause, even more. Is she down with this play? Tina is down with it, she’s very excited that she’s finally made it to Broadway, as if she needs to accomplish anything. She’s done it all. But this is gonna cover her life from her humble beginnings in Tennessee, to becoming this global queen of rock and roll, I love this.
great music, and her relationship with Ike Turner, as well, is gonna be covered.
Fabulous. So some of the songs, Proud Mary, Private Dancer, Simply the Best, What’s Love Got to Do with It, we’re gonna be singing and dancing the entire show. Love it. Give it up for Jeremy Parsons, everybody! Check it out! Make sure you pick up your copy of People Magazine, it’s on news stands now. More great show for you. All rise! Judge Wendy is next. So grab a snack and come on back. (upbeat music)
(cheering and applause) (audience whooping) (upbeat music)
(cheering and applause) Order, order, order. It’s time for Judge Wendy, where your mess is my business. (cheering and applause) So today we’ve got two Wendy watchers, and they have a problem and I’ll give my ruling. Actually, four of them, two different cases. Let’s hear about case number one. (upbeat music) The Plaintiff is Shanielle. She feels deeply insulted that her sister Alicia refuses to throw her a 30th birthday party. They haven’t always been the closest, but Shanielle says, this party could help bring them together. Alicia is the defendant. She claims she’s never been that close with Shanielle, even though they’re family. In fact, Shanielle has a group of friends that she refers to as her real sisters. So Shanielle needs to stop tripping, and get one of them to plan her birthday party. (audience exclaims) Alright, let’s get down to it, ladies. (gavel bangs) Shanielle, 29 years old, you’re here with your sister Alicia. It pains me, because you’re close in age. Alicia, you’re 32, correct? Yes. Alright, Shanielle, what is the problem? Hey, Wendy, how you doin’? How you doin’? So, yes, I have this birthday that’s coming up next month, and it’s a big birthday, I’m turning 30. I feel like, she’s my sister, she’s my older sister, she’s my only sister, and I feel like she should throw this party for me. I mean, duh, who wouldn’t wanna throw a party for their little sister? (audience laughs) Alicia, what is the problem? So my sister is selfish. The only time she reaches out to me is when she wants something. And she’s always doing things with her sisters slash besties, so why don’t she have one of them plan the party for her, then? That is so not true, so not true. What’s the deep-seated problem with you all’s relationship, and I mean dig deep, Shanielle, what is the deep-seated problem with your sister Alicia? I’m so glad you asked that, Wendy, because my sister is just so stank when she comes around my friends. (audience exclaims)
(gavel bangs) Order. Wendy, Wendy, Wendy, Wendy. When she comes around my friends, she has no type of inviting facial expressions, she just sits in the corner– That’s because her friends are fake. It’s terrible, it’s terrible.
When I planned a surprise baby shower for Shanielle, they showed up late, they knew about it in advance, and they didn’t contribute. I mean, I pulled out all the stops for her, she had treat tables, decorations. How long ago was the baby shower. Moons ago.
A couple years ago. And I did her bridal shower, and she wanted a Kentucky Derby theme. I had to do a treat table, wear a big hat, and I have a big head, do you know how I look in a big hat? (laughing) Order, order. (laughs) So, uh-uh, Wendy. I’m tired of her using and abusing me. She can do that with someone else. Why don’t she have one of her besties do it for her? (audience exclaims) Well, here’s the thing that I feel, ladies. I feel like you’re sisters, you only have each other as sisters.
Exactly. And friends are cute, but sisterhood is forever. She’s your longest strongest friend, and vice versa. Do you live in proximity of each other. Yes.
Yes. Okay, well, here’s my ruling. (gavel bangs) Order, order. Here’s my ruling. Take this the best way Shanielle, plan your own 30th birthday party. Listen to me. Nobody’s got time to plan your 30th birthday party if you’re gonna be picky about things and whatnot. Alicia, you attend her 30th birthday party and fix your face, Alicia. (audience laughing) Fix your face, get along with people, do not give her a headache on her birthday that she’s gonna plan herself. She will have nothing to do with the planning, but you make sure that you get your sister something thoughtful and don’t bring it to the birthday party. Here’s what I want you girls to do, the day after the birthday party, or the day after that, I want the two of you to get together and go out for lunch. I want you to pay, Alicia, see, that’s part of the birthday gift, and then whatever money you have left over, bring her a nice token. I need you girls to get back together. It’s a rocky world out here, and you need each other. (cheering and applause) Okay? Alright. Let’s move on to case number two, hit it. (upbeat music) (gavel bangs) Natalie is the plaintiff. She’s annoyed that her best friend, Jessica, eats like a preschooler. Natalie says it’s a real drag on their friend group because they can never go to nice restaurants. Natalie wants to stop inviting Jessica unless she starts eating more than just chicken fingers. (audience laughing) Jessica is the defendant. She feels that Natalie is being too judgemental. If she wants to eat a hot dog at a sushi restaurant, that’s her business. Jessica says her friend should focus more on what’s coming out of her mouth, not what’s going in. (audience exclaims) Ooh, that was a good one. That’s a good one, Jessica. Alright, Natalie, we’re gonna start with you. Why do you care so much about, how old are you girls, by the way. I’m 42. Okay. I just turned 40. Okay. (audience laughing) Chicken fingers and hot dogs are very delicious, but let’s talk, Natalie, why do you care what she eats? Well, Wendy, how you doin’? How you doin’? A bunch of our friends go out to brunch once a month. Jessica sits there, ans she doesn’t eat anything. Sometimes she asks for a children’s menu. (audience exclaims) I think Jessica should open her mind to all the delicious food out there, and I think she’d be a lot happier if she did, and so would I. How long have you girls been friends? 12 years. You have children? I have two children, August is 11, Daphne is seven, and they both eat more adventurously than that girl. (audience laughs) Jessica, what’s your defense? Do you have children? How you doin’? How you doin’? (laughs) I do, I have four children. Okay, how old are they? They are 14, 15, 18, and 20. Are they adventurous eaters? They eat more than I do, yes. No, not the amount, I mean, are they more adventurous? Yes. Mmhm. So why are you insulted when she talks to you like this? Because I’m such a dynamic friend. I go above and beyond all the time, so what does it really matter what I order? I’m good to her, I’m good to all my friends, I’ll do anything for anyone, so if I decide to tailor the menu a little bit, what’s the big deal? I’m there for the memories and the camaraderie. That’s it. (audience exclaims) Aw, order. (gavel bangs) Order. It wouldn’t be a big deal– Look, Natalie, approximately how many of you all go out once a month for brunch, I think this is a fabulous idea. Well, I would say there’s 10 of us, but the truth is, when I have a dinner party and I make an eight course meal, and she doesn’t eat anything– What do you cook, what do you make? Well, I cook quinoa salad– Wait, now hold on. Jessica, relax.
See, see? Portobello mushrooms stuffed with pesto mashed potatoes. I make sauteed green beans with craisins. Green beans, there we go again, they’re string beans. I’m not asking her to eat pickled octopus, but if I’m making a gorgeous– I like a pickled octopus! As do I! Oh, my gosh! But I’m not asking her to eat that, I’m just asking her, when I cook an eight course meal, to not sit there looking sulky and eating bread. (gavel bangs) Alright, wait, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. (gavel bangs) (audience laughs) It’s time for my ruling. I must say, Natalie, that I rule in favor of Jessica, Yes!
and I’m going to tell you why. Because if she’s a good friend and you guys have been friends for so many years, 12 years, the once a month brunch thing sounds great. I don’t want a brunch at Chuck E. Cheese, either, I’m grown, you know and I’ve got a very interesting palate. Have you ever had Doritos and caviar? (audience laughs) I should start, that sounds delicious. Tasty. Jessica, just maintain being a good friend. Eat what you want. I don’t mind if you come out with me for sushi and you order a hot dog. If it’s not available, I don’t even mind helping you smuggle it in. (audience laughs) And defending you to the waiter. It’s about the friendship, not about the eat-ship, okay? (applause) Alright. This court has been adjourned. Ow. If you wanna be on Judge Wendy, remember, your mess is my business. Go to Up next everybody, we’ve got the hottest shoes for fall. Don’t go far. (upbeat music)
(cheering and applause) (upbeat music)
(cheering and applause) (audience whooping) (mumbles) The fall season is the perfect time to go shoe shopping, so here now with is for the season’s hottest shoes, is our style expert friend, Mercedes Sanchez. Hey, Wendy! Welcome back, girl. Thank you. Alright, let’s get started with these beauties. First with the boots. Well, come on. These are over the knee boots, rhinestones are a huge hit this season. Yeah, this is not just a piece of material. It’s not.
They’re all individually rhinestoned. That’s right, and with good reason this is a big hit because it fits almost any occasion. Girls night out, date night, it even makes for a great holiday boot. Notice the 4.6 inch heels. I love these.
Sexy. These are 299 from Steve Madden. (applause) Get them, these are so worth it. Now, if you prefer a lower heel, Okay, move over a little bit.
These are only 1.6 inches. Okay.
1.6 inch. And I love the fact that it has a sock style top, and towards the bottom it gives me more of a 90s vibe, but you can pair it nicely with a cozy mini skirt for the fall. Or leggings, or anything. Yeah, anything. These are flat boots from Zara, $69. That’s a deal. (applause) We got a lot going on with these. Yes, these are the Western Booties, a lot going on, like you said. Okay, so snake is a big hit this season, as well as animal print. It gives me almost like a cowboy vibe, but the gem embellishments give it like a city chic upgrade. They are cool.
Right? And I like the bordeaux, the color. Yes, also the pointy toe is a big hit this season.
Love that. From Asos, $72. These are worth it. Yes, so next, Wendy, we’re talking heels. This is nothing special, but you know what, nothing special is always in style. Just a simple–
However, it is a little special because it’s suede. Suede never goes out of style, like you said.
Never. No I love a suede shoe. But right now, the fall is a prime time to rock these suede pumps. It gives you a pop of color for your wardrobe, but I have to mention, ladies, I was just on Steve Madden, and they’re almost sold out, but I found them on HSN for $89.95. If there’s nothing else that you get on this table, this shoe is absolutely never going out of style. Exactly. Okay. So next we have the platform mules. So here we have a hint of crocodile print, very subtle. Again, so the platform mules and the platform style period is not going anywhere any time soon. We’re gonna see them on booties, on high heels– They look really comfortable to wear, too. Yep, you can slip it on, fun for the weekend. Oh, the lymphedema of it all. I can’t wear any of this stuff. They’re $56 from Asos. I know, the heels, but we’re gonna get to the flats soon, don’t worry. I can’t wear those either. So next we have a pair of mesh high heels. And I have to say,
These are really nice. our girl, Christina Milian was just rocking a similar pair, they’re red, how sexy are they, right? (applause) And so here we have a lot of things going on. The studded detailing, the ankle straps are super sexy. They’re clear plastic on the inside, so you can actually see your foot. So make sure that your feet are done. And it’s breathable. These are only $56, ladies. That’s good. Next, we’re talking about the flats.
Now, what is this? The flats, your favorite category, my favorite category. Are these children’s shoes, why are they so small?
No, they’re not. Small for the demo table, but they come in higher sizes as well. Okay. So here again, we have the prints, ladies. I want these.
We have a lot of stuff going on. The leopard, the zebra. Too much. And again, the chunky–
It’s never enough. The chunky sole, again, is really big this season. From Steve Madden, $99. I love these. (applause) Now these. Yes. Oh, my gosh, you’ve got to have a delicate foot, but I’m telling you, these are so, in my mind, on my feet, but I can’t wear them. Okay. They’re beautiful. For example, if you ladies don’t wanna rock the over the knee style, we have them in a flat style over here. Get both!
These are also mules. Are you kidding me?
Yeah! These are from Macy’s, only $49. Oh, my gosh. (applause) And now– Now these are very cute as well. Okay, there we go, these are metallic loafers. They’re flat shoes. A beautiful embellishment in the middle, yes.
I like the chain and I like the color. And you can wear this to work, why not, right. On a Friday or any day of the week. Calvin Klein, are these expensive?
So, Calvin Klein, $169. Okay. Well, there you have it, your shoes for you. For more information on any of these shoes, go to Mercedes, thanks for being here. Thank you, Wendy. Ask Wendy is next. (upbeat music)

(cheering and applause) (audience whooping) Alright, welcome back, it is time for Ask Wendy. Everybody have a seat, except for you, come on over. How you doin’, oh. (audience exclaims) Come on over. How you doin’? Hi, Wendy, my name is Pam, How you doin’? Hi, Pam, where you from, what do you do? I’m from California, I’m a homemaker. Okay, now how can I help you? My husband thinks I’m going to leave him and have an affair with my best female girlfriend. (audience exclaims) Are you sexually fluid? Absolutely not. I do not do the female thing. Why would he say that? How long have you been married to him, first? We’ve been married 27 years, with three boys.
Alright, are there children in the house? Okay. Why does he say that? Men are so stupid. It is very peculiar. He’s acting ridiculous. I went out with her Sunday, and I didn’t wear my wedding ring or earrings, I was just relaxing, in a chill Sunday mood. Okay. And he got all crazy, why aren’t you wearing your wedding ring when you’re out with her? Did you do it on purpose. No, absolutely, totally forgot. Just was chilling out after church, took my my jewelry and just wanted to relax. After church? Yeah, exactly. (audience laughing) And he thinks that you’re sinning? How does he treat your female friend? He’s cordial with her, but on the jealous side. She came with me on this trip and we are sharing a hotel room together. Here in New York? Yes, we are. Are there two beds? There are two queen beds and there’s four girls. (audience exclaims) So then there are two girls per bed. Yeah. Do you divide the covers? We’re really close, we love each other.
No, I understand. Listen, this seems so fixable. I mean, your husband’s being adorably a mess. (laughing) You know, hammer him in the head, that, you know, first of all you don’t like girls like that, second of all, you only have eyes for him. You know what I mean? Absolutely. Are you wearing your wedding ring now? Yes.
Perfect. How do I get him to stop acting so ridiculous? Just keep telling him every time, like, suck your tooth and walk in the other room, or whatever. I mean, there’s no accounting for stupidity of men. I should now. (applause) Thank you, Wendy.
Okay. Oh, wait. Oh, we’ll be right back. (upbeat music)

I’m gonna ask you a question about a celebrity, and you have to tell me who I’m asking about, okay?
Okay. Okay. This iconic Hollywood legend got her Star on the Hall of Fame in 1960. Her real name is Norma Jean Mortenson. But is it Elizabeth Taylor, Marilyn Monroe, or Grace Kelly? Go. (suspenseful music) This is so easy. Oh, come on. Marilyn Monroe? Yes, there you go!
